ORIGINAL INSPIRATION:- The movie is simply a struggle with out a cause! This Mani ratnam?s Dynamic movie is packed with Powerful, emotional, romantic flavors. Inspired by the original story of George reddy a university student who fought against politically powered devils & bureaucrats, to every one?s shock George Reddy was killed by ABVP activists. ABVP is inner organization of BJP.
This happened around in mid 80?s.Students who all educated in and around Osmania University limits know about the war of George Reddy. We lost a great student leader, whose dream did not come true until this day. George Reddy?s brutal murder was a pathetic and Inspired ManiRatnam. After doing a serious research in this OU campus, this film had a good shade of student?s power.
This film is good lesson for all sleeping so called YOUTH. Please Wake up wake up?. those who all are sleeping? Please wake up and start working hard, fight for each & every unfaithful, illegal, corruption and what not everything that is not fair, who ever the employee may or the officer or what ever the government is?! For the better future of young India?! MOVIE SYNOPSYS This is the story of three people unknown to each other. Somewhat the story Narration fails to hold the audience pulse. It seems this movie is made for class audience.
In the very beginning of the film. SAMBA (madhavan) shoots MICHAEL (surya) a student leader?and ARJUN (siddharh) save the life of surya by hospitalizing immediately with the help of his cute and lovely girl friend TRISHA. From here, after the first scene the director goes into personal life?s the characters one by one. SAMBA (madhavan) a crude and rude does what ever his mind says. He is villain of the movie. He is great lover of his wife played by meera jasmin. His quality of work is rough and tough, he is appointed by his brother sekhar firstly to control the students? activities, which are disturbing political atmosphere of state minister ((Bharati Raja).
In his own battle, SAMBA kills his own brother too and gets the blessings of state minister. Who provokes him to kill MICHAEL? But things change when one of his close associate turns in to the favor of truth and saves the life of 4 students who were kidnapped and beaten to blood by SAMBA.ARJUN (siddarth) who is also one among the 4 escapes from the den of SAMBA, And informs MICHAEL about the situation. MICHAEL fights with SAMBA saving the life of both ARJUN and SAMBA.
The reason behind the kidnapping was, under the leadership of MICHAEL 4 students take participation in elections for MLA seats aiming to fight against social problems. MICHAEL (surya) is a young and dynamic intelligent statewide students leader. He helps people with kind heart?falling for easha deol; he aims for the better life of all the poor who are facing problems against government .He will be ready all the time to fight against any problem?and always wins?! He the one with strong attitudes and intellectual concepts. Having great support of all students statewide. ARJUN (siddarth) is a young aspirant desiring to fly USA some day. He always has a dream of having romantic fun with white babes. But his father being an IAS officer insists him to appear for civil service exams.
Therefore, that he can follow his footsteps. Nevertheless, ARJUN after coming to city from Delhi falls urgently for Trisha in a local disco pub. From there first meeting TRISHA tease ARJUN quite lovely. That all scenes a will be interesting! After the individual introductions, trio the first scene joins again leading for climax. Arjun saves accidentally the life of MICHAEL and becomes one among the close associates of MICHAEL. He stands for state assembly election with MICHAEL and other 3 students. They win the elections defeating local sate minister?s candidates.
At last, MICHAEL wins and motivates all the students towards right path.
TECHNICAL ASPECTS- A STUDY ON YUVA
DIRECTION: - Maniratnam followed the scheme of PULP FICTION, MOMENTUM, LOVE?S ABITCH, and some like IDDARU (IRUVAR of Tamil version) METHOD OF SCREENPLAY: - Episode wise narration weakens the main plot of the Concept.
MAKING INSPIRATION: - Quentin Tarantino, Guillermo Arriaga Jordan, Roger Avary, and Alejandro Gonzále Iñárritu.] No doubt, he is a great director. Non-creative directors generally adapt straight narrations. Nevertheless, why this mistake is even made by some few good directors rather called as good technicians? SOUND: - DTS mix and other special effects enhance the quality of this product. H.SRIDHAR did great job.
This movie got flop talk ?after 2 shows from release date.
MUSIC: - A.R.REHMAN ?s music was bore through out the film. Doesn?t have any Good songs in this movie. Even lyrics are too bore not one having the context Properly!
CHOREOGRAPHY: - actually no need of Choreography, almost all except one are ?montage type songs?! For different movie taste lovers this movie is suggestible.
