At times when you’re a young kid you decide to explore movies that your parents felt were classics.but when they say it’s a classic and they’ve never seen it than you get curious as to why they say that.so when I put in the Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai I had some expectations.first of all i’m a big fan of Rishi Kapoor, i had seen Prem Rog and liked the Rishi-Padmini pair so I had expectations from them, and finally it’s a Nasir Hussain movie so obviously the expectations get bigger.
Plot:
basically Rishi falls in love with Padmini but they find out the truth about who they’re relate to and Padmini suddenly hates Rishi because Rishi’s father threw Rishi’s bro Randhir outta the house for marrying Padmini’s sis.and also Kader Khan has a grudge against Rishi’s family.
Plusses:
-definately the music was the life of the movie for me.
-the lead pair did excellent in this film
-the movie is very fast paced and the 3 hours just fly by
-the different plots come together at the end
-Nasir Hussain’s directing is a highlight.
Minuses:
-it’s hard to find any.if there was any i’d say just the background in Hoga Tumse Pyaara Kaun was fake
Music:
RD Burman has churned classics outta this film.The title song is my pick of the lot.
Direction:
Nasir Hussain is a god.every film of his is excellent.he handled each and every frame with sensitivity.
Performances:
Rishi Kapoor is the life of the film in my opinion.he acted in each scene at his best.he’s an excellent actor and has tons and tons of energy.especially in the title song.i love this man doing qawali’s.every qawali he’s done in his life has been excellent.
Padmini Kohlapuri is excellent in this movie.i’ve grown to like her acting after this movie.she also looks good throughout.
all the other actors have done their part well.
all in all this film is a classic and you will be smiling all through the film
