This review is about ZEE CINE AWARDS 2004 which took place at Dubai in March 2004.This year’s edition of Zee Awards was just the best among it’s rivals, which are ofcourse Filmfare, Screen etc.There were many reasons which made the awards ceremony completely outstanding:
1) It was for the first time in history that an annual Bollywood award function included both leading Indian&Pakistani artists who presented the awards to the winners.
2) The place where the function was held( I think it was some stadium in Dubai) was a perfect location.The decoration of the stage was simple but excellent!
3)The presenters ( SRK, Javed Jaffrey, Karan Johar, Juhi Chawla among others)were good & knew well how to present the show unlike in other awards functions where some presenters just spoil the show.But I didn’t like the idea of making Katrina Kaif presenting a part of the show.She is not a good presenter!
4)The awards were given on merits & the winners deserved them!You also got to see many artists who form part of Bollywood but never got the awards( Arshad Warsi, Sadhna Sargam, Urmila among others)
Some wonderful moments of the show:
-What a wonderful moment it was to see Umer Sharif & Shekhar Suman sharing the same platform and talking about Indo-Pak friendship in their jokes.It was perhaps for the first time in the history that An Indian& a Pakistani comedians had performed together!
-What a wonderful moment it was when Karan Johar asked Juhi Chawla to sing a song and when Juhi started singing ’’Kal Ho Na Ho.........’’ it was just excellent.She sang the song perfectly and a new talent in her was discovered!
-What a wonderful moment it was when Shah Rukh Khan presented shared the platform with a leading Pakistani actress&they both were praising each other’s movies.That was most probably one of the best scenes in the function.

Conclusion:
Despite being quite a lengthy show(it lasted well above 4 hours excluding ads), Zee Awards 04 kept the audiences glued to their seats.All the Indian culture were present in the show(unlike Filmfare which is going western).It was also an excellent idea of bringing Indian & Pakistani artists together!
THIS SHOW IS A MUST FOR ALL SRK’S FANS AS IT INCLUDES SOME OF HIS BEST PERFORMANCES EVER!!!!Yes, Believe me, I, despite not being a fan of Srk am saying this!
A must show to watch for those who missed it.I’ve heard that CD’S of the show are available in the market.So what are you waiting for ...........just get those CD’S.
