Just wanted to highlight a money making scam being run by Zicom and its partners.
I have been writing time and again to report an issue with the video door phone installed at my place. The issue persists since the day one and every time I log a complaint the technicians do not diagnose the problem, however just suggest couple of troubleshooting steps which make it work only for few hours and at times few days. The last time I was suggested to change the entire wiring after which it worked well for another few days.
Recently they have changed their service policy, as per which Zicom will not serve on the complaints, however the customer will have to contact the retailer from whom the product was purchased and they do not bother about service once the product is sold.
Zicom and partners wait till the time the warranty is over and then ask the customer to pay for the visit charges and repair charges even if it is the same problem reported with in the warranty period.
Now the product is already out of warranty period and has the same issue as earlier. Once reported, I am being informed to pay the visit charges and repair charges if any for the same issue I had been highlighting with in the warranty period.
Buyers, would suggest to go for a different brand than Zicom else you too could be a victim to these kind of scams.
