Was it the movie or me?

Movie - or Me? one cannot guess who was more alive when I was sipping coffee during interval, frankly I have seen enough blood shed in one fight alone (where the famous hammer of Sanjay hummed its toothy song), and still I was there, breathing slowly, so as not to attract shabby sanju baba’s attention, for which I was sure to get a kick at least, and watching in awe with the difficulty and naturalness he tackled the situation (just kidding dear, its typical bollywood fight minus rajnikant’s cigarette and revolver act).

With typical movie-goes-Indian-honesty I can swear that I have seen more blood than this only when I was watching a blood transfusion surgery in discovery channel.

Beyond the action and violence I must say Sanjay and John acted with awesome coolness, and ease.

There is hardly anything to talk about the eye-candy in the movie, and the villainous look of bad guy, since the girl had little to do or show (which she didn’t - thank God for that), and both the guys were bad enough to give any ’bhai’ a run for his money.

I don’t know I am aware of any other actor of current genre who has re-invented the wheel and started the cult, where you fall for the actor/actress despite your gender.

John Abraham is one such actor whose charm affects men and women alike.

(Kindly don’t get me wrong people, I am straight hetro, who just happen to have an honest mouth... and I wish I am not putting my foot in it), and he did it again in the movie.

Skill wise I personally think Sanju baba was superior, which may easily be contributed to experience. But I did feel sorry for Manjerekar (played as sanjay’s best friend), who being a brilliant stage actor (remember the fattu in Kante), couldn’t mark his presence (small role you see!).

Beyond all ga ga about the movie, I found the story/script a tad weak in plot and sometimes I lost the track who is what and why is sanjay is in that box, and why is John wearing that stupid parka and moving on the streets ( supposedly miniature Bill Gates), and Why does Lara sounded so much like Basanti of Sholey, and why am I watching the movie, and why am I sitting here and writing this piece... Wait! I think I am lost

Yeah! right! the plot Had it been Hollywood kinda movie I could have digested some facts that someone built an empire just to pull another guy into another country, for teasing his sister (wait a minute... HOW DID JOHN KNEW THAT HIS SISTER COMMITED SUISIDE BY SANJAY? That was the last day of school wasn’t it?) I really am messing up here, its the business of script writer (In which he failed miserably)

But the movie was made with such brilliance and camera work that it captures the attention of crowd and makes them hold their breath while Sanjay nail the bad guys with hammer, and WHAM! Here goes another weak point of script under the carpet... oops... wood.

The style in which movie was made is very very fresh, and smells of paint and wood work till now. It’s the great presentation which keeps the movie alive and kicking (literally).

All in all its a movie to watch and admire cool John to Jive and Sanjay to stammer, and Sanjay(main hero) to Slammer (the hammer).

Enjoy it guys

I say best of luck to you all and remain zinda, when you come out of theatre (Keep breathing during the action scenes, believe me Sanju Baba has grown hairs everywhere on his upper body including ears that he can hardly hear you)
