My Review
A SANJAY DUTT COME BACK
^ That is wat one can say after watching Zinda... I havent seen Oldboy so cant say which one is better but this one is not bad by any means infact its quite good.
Everyone knows the story, so I will just say that its very different and keeps u engaging. I wud like to contradict with others say that I enjoyed the second half more then the first (though I think climax couldve been better).
I have never liked any Gupta film except Aatish and kaante but this is Guptas best work to date. The credit for making a film sure goes to Gupta. It is not very easy to like a remake of an acclaimed movie. but I think those who have watched oldboy liked Zinda too.
Perfomences
Celina - was she in the movie ??
Mahesh - was fine!
Lara - was ok to good.. the role didnt require any work frm her but nonetheless she luked hot like never before!
John Abraham - easily his best... forget Dhoom/Karam etc.. this is his best perf. He luked cool and was totally in the character. I dun think he was a misfit.. gr8 perfomence
Sanjay Dutt - after insignificant roles as favor to his friends (since Munabhai) he iz BACK.The old Dutt iz back...No one and I mean no one in BW is better then this guy when it comes to playing haunting, restless, painful roles. This is one of his BEST! The change of expressions on his throughout the film are just phenomenal. Watch him breaking down in the climax. He did complete justice to the role of Balajeet Roy and believe me the role wasnt an easy role to play.. In the major part of the first half, he is tormented, persecuted and vulnerable. In the second half, he breathes fire, breaks bones and spills blood. hats off to sanju..!
Weaknesses: The film does loose its gripping some portions where I felt kinda bored but nonetheless it was a treat to watch..
8.5 to 9/10
(DONT MISS IT IF U R A SANJAY DUTT FAN)
