Zomato should take more care on some things

I ordered food from Zomato, almost everyday as I leave alone in a rented house and I am not that comfortable with cooking as I have to attend the classes and other stuff. So I could not manage my time. As Zomato was offering a good cashback, I preferred this platform more than any other food delivery


Before the outbreak of Corona Virus, I had ordered the food from Zomato at around 8: 00 pm. It was showing that the my order is on the way and will be arriving in 25 minutes. I was waiting and I understand that how difficult it is to travel at night in a city full of traffic ( Mysore city) . It was 9: 00 pm and still I did not receive my order. I saw the map and it was showing that the delivery boy was in the same place from a long time.


As a matter of concern, I called him to know whether he was fine and just to make sure he did not meet with any accident. He spoke to me in a rude way and said "Mind your business and just keep waiting" ( In Kannada) . I did not argue with him as I had already paid the amount and I was hungry. And I had no patience to order the food again and there is no option for cancelling the order. I had no other option rather than waiting. I kept waiting and was very hungry. I tried calling him again and he did not pick the call.


Finally, at around 10: 45 pm, my food was arrived. I just asked him politely "Was everything fine? It was mentioned that the food will be arriving in 25 minutes? Why were you late? ". He got frustrated and scolded me loudely "Now you got your food right? Just take it and get lost" and some other cuss words in Kannada that cannot be mentioned.


I tried contacting Zomato executives through emails and after a week, I received a reply saying that they will look into this matter. Just that.


So the conclusion is that, Zomato doesn’t take care of such things like customer complaints, customer satisfaction and so on. They just employ any one and just leave them to handle customers as they wish. There are more good people working in Zomato as delivery boys, as per my experience. But there are some people as well, who are enough to spoil others as well.
