For the first time ever, I have booked a car for a causal ride, I went for the pickup then I did not find the car at the pickup location. Then immediately I contacted the customer care, a lady answered and told that the car is there at the same location. I have thoroughly searched but couldn’t find it. Then she said, I’ll give you the exact longitude of the car. I searched with the longitude on the maps, it has shown that the car was almost 130kms away from the exact pickup location. I told the same to her, she has apologized for that and rearranged another car at a different location. I went there by booking a cab and roamed around that place on a sunny day and i finally found the car parked in a congested lane. I have got into the car, the interior was not cleaned, i saw some food and stuff here and there inside the car. I thought of taking the pictures of the same, but my phone got switched off due to the low battery. Somehow I brought the car and started the ride.
I have returned the car at the same location and done with the payment. The very next day I got a message saying that I have been charged Rs. 1000 extra for some cleanliness charges. I contacted the customer care, and the representative said that, "you have to pay the same for severely damaging the interior". I was shocked and disappointed with his words. Why should I pay for nothing? I have tried to explain him the whole issue which I’ve gone through at the beginning, then he checked in his system and claimed that, that was happened because of some technical issue and no need to pay for that. At the beginning he argued with me like nothing to do, you have to pay for it.
With this experience I have learnt a lesson that, one who wants to take a ride they have to be very careful and conscious about interior and exterior as well.
I’m very much disappointed with the zoomcar support, and decided not to continue the journey with them. They tried to cheat you for nothing. Be careful.
