I am not writing this review on the basis of Zoom car because I have never experienced with Zoom car yet.
But yes few months back Zoom car has come up with a great initiative named as PEDL, yes guys this is a cycle service where someone can book through a link and according to that you can take the ride on it.
It is very simple process just you have to click on pedl.zoomcar.com and you need to register through your mobile number but one catch is that the number have to link with your paytm wallet because the ride fare gets deducted from paytm wallet. The main attraction is it is too cheap. Its fare is Rs: 1/- for half an hour and so on. After registering you need to scan the bar code attached with the cycle, after successful scanning the cycle get unlocked and you can use to go anywhere. There are some dedicated Pedl stand where you find the cycle, you need to find the stand through the provided map in their website. Its become very popular now a days in Kolkata specifically the office associates get the relaxation during their break time also some of them use it for daily purpose to come and go from their home to office.
The cycle quality is ok ok type with brakes, adjustable seat, front bracket to place luggage etc. You can ride over an hour easily in the normal road. Zoom Car has launched this service primarily on 5 cities across India i.e Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune and Chennai and planning to beyond its barrier.
Disadvantage: The main problem with the pedl is that people are not familiar with it till now because after completion of a ride you need to lock the cycle and end the trip from the app, but people only lock the cycle but forgot to end the trip so when the next rider comes and scan the bar code it shows "The cycle is in ongoing trip condition". As the fare is too minimum people is not using it in a proper way I think Zoom Car should look into it to improve further in this segment.
It is a very good initiative by Zoom Car and thumps up for it. Hope this Pedl initiative will grow their business further.
