Lots of new info there! But it seems u still lack the power of mplayer/mencoder :-) Of course, they cater more to video requirements than audio ones and require a lot of know-how to tweak around with, but once u can do that.... u can get amazing results! A comprehensive review indeed. Having worked a slight bit on Mac desktops too, my viewpoint in today's context is, the switch from windows to linux is much less painful compared to Apple.
