Use Shell 20w40 AX5 oil, i've tried it. Pickup will seem a bit slow but heating will largely resolve. Gearshift will become smoother too. A cooler engine will be more healthier as overheating will lead to other issues over time. better compromise a bit on pickup instead

very very true and guess what, after fooling us, now Honda is using the same engine on their new Hornet with the fancy X tail lamps to fool more innocent Indians

Hi Rajez, very accurate observations about the bike. i too have this bike, done 11500. agreed SVC guys are pathetic. Honda wants us to use 10W30 grade engine for the HET engines and this bike has a HET engine. Dont forget that this 160cc is built around the same 150cc engine block by just boring out read more...

While I realize Honda R&D guys launched the bike before more testing, it was probably because of Suzuki's pressure with their Gixxer. Hi Deep, my entire cylinder/bore, piston with piston rings have been replaced with new ones, i saw my old ones lying beside my engine. I was surprised to see the amount of carbon deposited on the piston in just 3000 kms, but the skirt below the rings was very clean, no deposits whatsoever there. So read more...
Hi Deep, I've been told that my parts have arrived and the honda tech guys themselves would fix the bike. I've not left my bike in the SC. By the way, i got an engine kill switch installed, 20 bucks push switch, and wiring and labor cost not more than 200 bucks. Hi I bought the unicorn 160 end of March '15 in Bangalore, Druvdhesh Honda. Registration is 1400 something, insurance is 1400 something and road tax is 10,000 something.
