Thanks Emptor, Although escalated it multiple times, unfortunately, busy working and travel schedules did not permit me to take it up in a more aggressive manner. The company thus got an opportunity to exploit. Started alerting people about Sharayu and Hyundai. I guess, I will have to do somethin read more...
Here is an update. After 5 years of fight, RBI finally slaps ICICI (check out the RBI order at http://www.geocities.com/pparag/bo-order.pdf). File a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman. Avoid ICICI altogether. I already faced a huge list of problems with this Bank (search for 'ICICI bad' on Google), and I am realising that I am not the only special one to face problems ;-) you have discovered further more at the beginning itself, I wis read more...

File a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman if you are charged higher ROI than other borrowers under same category. I did the same, and RBI ordered ICICI to refund the excess interest charged.
