Fascination about societies, how they work, how they change and how they interact, subsequently most of my reading is focused around this area.

Feel its our responsibility as individuals to know as much about the world around us and ourselves as possible.

Without understanding of the factors that affect our lives we are powerless to change anything including ourselves, and run the risk of waking up one day - finding what we thought we knew lying in ruins (metaphorically speaking but after 9/11 and Bali anything is possible) and not having a clue what happened and why.

Taking the pulse of a society - like going to places where there is energy and buzz - be it creative, commerce or party places. Find that these hotspots give you a unique insight into a society, a sort fo snapshot of its mood.

A good example was when I stepped into Fire N Ice for the first time - I was blown away - I was shocked that a club like this existed in India - knew from that moment the whole holiday was going to be an eye opening rollercoaster.... I came away loving Mumbai and the Mumbaikars...
