Soon, movies started crossing 100cr, Ghajini being the first one. However, 3 idiots stil holds the record for highest grosser. Dhoom 3 releases tomorrow, it remains to be seen if Aamir Khan can break his own record.
#1 Krrish 3
Krrish 3, the much awaited Hrithik Roshan starrer made records for the fastest entry into the 100 cr club and is also the second highest grosser of all-time. It took seven days for Krrish 3 to enter the 200 cr club while Chennai Express accomplished that in two weeks. This diwali release received mixed reviews from the audience and critics. Superhero Krrish protects his family and world from “Kaal” the evil genius with telekinetic powers and his henchman “Kaya”.

#2 Chennai Express
2013 witnessed the movie which not only breached 100cr but crossed 200cr. Love story starts in Chennai express when Shah Rukh Khan is on his way to Rameshwaram and finds Deepika on his journey. It blossoms on the the way in the beautiful lands of the South. Shah Rukh Khan with his comedy, Deepika with her accent, Rohit Shetty's direction, the thalaiva song and the Eid release helped break the Ek Tha Tiger record.

#3 Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
It was a'badtameez' hit. The Ranbir-Deepika pair sizzled at the box office. Another factor was the songs that worked in favour of the movie. The story appealed to youth especially the metropolitan crowd. Even movie releases like Fukrey and Ranjhanaa couldn't stop the movie from becoming a blockbuster.

#4 Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
A well deserved hit. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag was the second highest grosser of 2013 until Chennai Express and Krrish 3. Released during Ramadan, movie had a relatively slow start but the convincing performance by Farhan Akhtar, Rakesh Omprakash Mehra's direction and great music by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy made this Milkha Singh biopic worth your time. Havan karenge rocked all the way to the box office.
