I am writing in this space after a long long time. I wasn't myself since long. Now, in an attempt to regain my lost self, I have come back here. I don't know who reads this or doesn't but it is such a nice place to be myself.
In this process, I undertook a small 282 KM bike trip, solo, from Mumbai to Malshej ghats and back. I started form home at 5.40 AM. I had a light breakfast of vada pav on the way. The roads before entering Malshej were a dream. Lush green ferns and small water springs on the sides of the road, towering hills looking down upon you. I clicked away a lot of snaps. I saw a big movie crew set up their camp there for some shooting. In search of adventure, I took an unknown road, and that gave my back a good massage. The road around a big reservoir was very bad and consumed a lot of time. I was tired, and had lunch at a road side dhaba.
I then headed back to malshej ghat. I parked my bike there and went to the view point. The view from atop the hill was beautiful. The fact that people litter such natural places hurt me. There, a monkey came to me when I was eating a chocolate. I offered it twice and it took. The third time, it did not. may be, it didn't like it too much. Then, it started playing around my shoes and and was grooming the hair on my hand. I think it was trying to show its wound just above its tail and wanted me scratch it. I was talking to it in my mother tongue. It was so friendly to me. I felt love, some unknown bonding with nature..
In the end, I collected some trash which people threw here and there and put them into the trash can. On my way back, it started raning. I took shelter in a dhaba where I had tea and continued back tome. I reached home at 4PM.
It was a wonderful ride, and after a very long time. I enjoyed it.
