Here. in India, it is a messy apartment mushrooming in urban areas at an alarming rate overcrowding the already congested places with narrow roads, hardly any parking spaces, limited and depleting natural resources like water.
I am now at Pallavi Residency St No:14 Lane No:1 Nagarjunanagar Tarnaka Secunderabad in South India after bad experiences since 1990. It appears that there is total disharmony created by the flat or apartment owners in general who all instigate the watchmen to bully and harass the tenants. Though I am paying an high rent for the apartment, it is the apartment owners residing in the complex who are imposing their whims and fancies in the issues of basic amenities and others.
Though the tenants pay the exorbitant rents and the monthly maintenance amounts, it the the apartment owners residing in the Residency who all act so proud, inconsiderate and inhumane towards the needs of the tenants occupying the apartments. Potable water which is a basic amenity is supplied as per timings which ought to be for the common usage of the apartment occupants. Yet there are a few apartment owners who instruct the watchman to supply the drinking water to suit their conveniences. The housewives get the benefit of enjoying the supply of drinking water through out the day while the working women and others are deprived of the basic amenity. The supply timings have to be monitored to suit the needs and conveniences of all the occupants and not just cater to the needs of few housewives. The working families are denied the drinking water and are forced to store the water in the limited time while the housewives and others thoroughly enjoy the uninteruppted flow of potable water throughout the day till the tank gets emptied. The same can be monitored within specific timings both in the mornings and in the evenings to ensure fair and just supply of drinking water to all the apartment occupants.
As a consumer of the basic amenity wherein I get to pay the monthly maintenance that also includes the cost of the drinking water paid to the Municipal Authorities, do I have the right to seek fair and just distribution of the basic amenity ?
