MISCONDUCT & CHEATING BY WIDEX INDIA STAFFER - DEEPIKA PATIL

I have had a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with Widex Hearing Aids .Their consultants are geared towards swindling the public . Their products are not only very expensive , but there are hidden charges which are inflated . I visited their Senso Hearing Centre at Mahim ( Mumbai ) for getting hearing aids for my mother .This was after the audiologist assured me of 1) Examining her and 2) Giving discounts on the products .


Incidentally my mother had already done her hearing aid tests from 2 Govt. hospitals and the reports were shown to the audiologist - DEEPIKA PATIL .This person neither EXAMINED my mother nor offered any discounts .On top of this Rs. 250 consultancy charges were levied just for showing the price list !
Isn't it not ridiculous to demand consultancy charges when you make product enquiries ? My mother a senior citizen was severely troubled as appointments made for her were casually given to other people!.

Widex India uses every trick in the book to squeeze out money from unsuspecting people . Thier Annual maintenance contracts also amount to as much as 25% of the product price ! Further their Regional Manager cannot be contacted on e-mail or cell phone . Their website widexindia .com lists e-mails of all the top management personnel . However e-mails sent to them simply bounce .

The very fact that top management does not take cognisance of misconduct of staffers is a very ominous sign . It shows that they are hand in glove with the malpractices . If this can happen before making a purchase , one shudders to think what would be the experience after purchasing their hearing aids , bearing in mind the long term involvement and expensive nature of such devices .

My sincere advice to peope is to avoid purchasing Widex hearing aids .
