I have a couple of reasons why I hate banking with SBI ...
1) If you are making an online transaction and there is a timeout , just assume that your money is lost forever bcoz bank never responds or helps you deal with it..
2) try reaching the customer care -- you can never get thru at first shot ...
3) if at all the call gets thru you are very lucky if you can complete your conversation with the person on other side - the call gets cut every 3 mins abruptly ...
4) if at all you speak to them , the answer is always visit your bank personally or talk to the manager and they give you the branch telephone number...
5) the branch telephone number is 24 * 7 under transit since 7 years yet they give you the same number where no one can be reached ever ....
6) if at all you try sending emails they are never answered .....
7) Banking staff is always angry and annoying and never polite ...it looks like they all hate working at the bank .. ( Walk in to SBI PBB kormangala branch for a glimpse of it)
8) if you pass a SBI cheque to post office it always bounces inspite of you maintaining a good balance ..reason being they run a deposit account program where your balance gets divided into multiple deposit accounts and fetches you interest which is very minimal , since the balance is divided over accounts , when you pass a cheque it always fails at the verification check at post office and you end up paying fine ....
Please stay away from this bank and save your money and time !
