Yoga has been around for more than 5,000 years. Yoga has become a part of life after this pandemic all over the world. Yoga helps us to keep ourselves fit and also stress is reduced. Yoga is beneficiary not only for physical help, but also is good for the whole body.


Few reasons for weight gain: Lack of activity or any exercises, Having unhealthy diet, Medications or drug intake, etc


Yoga has many asanas and pranayamas which helps to reduce weight and also helps us to keep active.


Below are few yoga poses which helps for weight loss, muscle tone and also gives flexibilty.




  1. Surya Namaskar(Sun Salutation) - This should be done on an empty stomach in the morning. It has 12 steps. In the internet you will find many versions to practice Surya Namaskar, But it is good if you stick to one particular version and practice it.• It helps in maintaining cardiovascular health, stimulate the nervous system, stretching, flexing and toning the muscles,Great exercise for weight loss, Strengthens the immune system, Improves overall health.




  2. Veerbhadrasana(Warrior Pose) - It helps to improve your balance along with toning your back end, legs, and arms.




  3. Purvottanasana(Upward Plank) - It is excellent pose to stretch and tone the overall body posture.




  4. Adho Mukha Svasana(Downward Dog) - It wakes you, also helps to builds bone density, Eliminates stiffness and back pain and also boosts circulation.




  5. Sarvangasana(Shoulder Stand) - It strengthens the upper body, abdominal muscles and legs, Improves the respiratory system and improves sleep, treats hypertension, etc.
