I have been an online shopper for ages now and never have I had any stray instances until I stumbled upon this siteeshop12.com via junglee.com(an Amazon company) My mistake - I assumed that because junglee was advertising on a national platform and had strong credentials behind it(in terms of Amazon), I probably need not worry about any due diligence, atleast not with regards to the authenticity of a vendor. So, I placed this order for a MacBook Pro-MD101HN/A on eshop12.com on the 23rd of December 2014, for Rs. 54,999 /- Let me admit here that I had read some reviews on the site and the only offending part seemed that the vendor would not stick to the delivery schedule. I thought, that was okay as I was in no hurry, and prepared for a turn around time of 30 days max. Days kept passing by and I got concerned when the period crossed 30 days. After repeated calling and some phony stories later, I was assured that my laptop would be despatched by 17th of Feb(about 55 days post delivery). I had given the vendor an ultimatum that should he not be able to despatch it by 17th, he should arrange for a refund. He was unable to despatch and he promptly changed my order status to Cancelled. But talk about the refund - TODAY ITS BEEN OVER 20 DAYS(SINCE CANCELLATION) AND THE VENDOR DOESN'T TAKE MY CALLS. After countless communications with Junglee, whilst they have removed the vendor from their site, they suggest me to file for a Dispute with my Bank(which by the ways, is not possible should I have willingly made the payment, which in this case I did). Meanwhile, this also doesn't classify as a Cyber Crime, again because the payment was made willingly. My only ray of hope now remains Amazon who is going to get back to me next week w.r.t what can be done. I keep my fingers crossed.
