The MTV Europen music awards 2009 a.k.a EMA was held at Berlin.The show was hosted by Katy Perry and she finished her job quite good.The award night was dominated by Beyonce who won 3 award sincluding best song and best female.Most lively performance was from U2 performing their song 'Magnificent'and Green Day with 'Do you Know Your Enemy'

I always had a feeling that the ema's are always 'unfaithful' or 'cruel' to good bands and good songs.Last year coldplay was the one band which was above all others in terms of success,songs,performance and global exposure.But they didnt won a single award at the EMA 08.This continues in ema 2009.This year the black eyed peas was brilliant with their megahit tracks 'boom boom pow' and'i gotta felling'.They didnt got any fair recognition.Also mentioning U2.Their new album No line on the horizon was a much awaited oneThese are the results of ema 2009

Best song-Beyonce(Halo)-good song,but not enough for an award

Best video-Beyonce(Single ladies)-again good song,but there was other songs even better

Best female-Beyonce-There were strong competitors like lady gaga and taylor swift but she won it with the support of two awards

Best Male-Eminem(Beautiful)-That was a great song from his new album Relapse

Best Group-Tokio Hotel-Unfair the Black eyed peas should have been the winner of this award.

Best New Act-Lady Gaga-2009 saw the rise of a new singing sensation and she deserves it.Almost every song of her album was a hit.

Best Rock-Green Day-Green day was superb this year with great tracks like'do you know your enemy' and '21 guns'.

Best Alternative-Placebo-Didnt know much about them.Their performance at the show was weak.

Best urban-Jay-Z-His new single empire state of mind is awesome.

Best Live Act-U2-No words,just brilliant

Best World Stage Performance-Linkin park-unfair again,dont know how did they got that.I am not a linkin park fan.Every song from them sound like one.There were other artists like Metallica,Cold play and Green day did a much better performence than them.
