Electronic voting machines(EVMS) are the machines which are used to cast votes in

elections.In India evms are being used by election commission of India in general,state

election.These are being used in India from 1999.In the recent elections of 2017 evms

are being used in five states,But there is an allegations from various parties(specially AAP).

that there machines are not perfect and infallible for the voting process as these are not

secured.After these allegations election commission has come out with an statement that

these machines can't be tampered and it has got variety of safety features.

But all these statements made by EC has come under foggy shade because many times it

been said by various scientists of various countries which manufacture these items

are prohibited its use to much extent because of its tampering.

The countries like the Netherlands and Germany which are the major producers of evms

have stopped using these evms.

In 2009 there is a team of scientists came from the USA, they tampered evms of India and

after that they are not allowed to enter the country .

The Supreme court has also made a appeal to check the authenticity of evms.

After all these evidences these machines are major threat to democracy and our high

level officials and public representatives should think over it and switch to the old ballot

paper voting system .
