The official Airlines of India, Air-India is facing bad times for the issues are mounting beyond the control of the Government. Issues relating the raise of perks, fraud and robbery by the staff and pilots made Air India to land on crisis.

The one time Maharaja of Indian aviation has now fallen into bankruptcy. Air India’s debt comes around 6.3 billion pounds and it seems the ministry has lost control over India’s national carrier. The staff was caught red hand for number of wrongdoings like stealing of whisky, caviar and traveling in luxurious vehicles to five star hotels in Delhi, Mumbai so on.

The facts find by the investigating officers of Air India’s internal vigilance department diminish the integrity of officials. They found plenty of fraudulence and theft. The pilots never stayed in the cheap airport hotels while their work duration is over. They prefer to stay at the luxurious hotels in Mumbai, Delhi and New York by causing a huge expense for the organization.

The catering officers were caught for shipping delicacies worth 300 pounds and a comptroller was caught while he was carrying away 370 bottles of whisky. The pilots and other staff used to travel in business class ahead of travellers. All the expensive items and spare parts are found to be stolen and sold to private airlines. It is reported that officers have filed more than 161 cases against the corruption by the officials of Air India.

If issues grow out of control, the Aviation ministry will proclaim a ban on Air India and it will affect the cheap travelling of domestic as well as international travellers.
