GET READY TO EXPERIENCE FEAR IN 3D!

Vikram Bhatt won appreciation and box office success last year with Haunted. It was a treat to watch this horror film in theatres, and that too in 3D. However, he disappointed with his next, Dangerous Ishhq (also in 3D) which was an amateur attempt. But now, Bhatt is back in the horror genre with Raaz 3 and if the trailers are any indication, then it seems to be a winner!

Raaz 3 stars Emraan Hashmi, Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta (last seen in Jannat 2) and has an interesting plot that deals with stardom, competition in the film industry and black magic. Bipasha Basu, who hasn’t had a great run in the last 2-3 years, might reconsolidate her position with Raaz 3. In fact, just like her character in Raaz 3, she too was facing threat from her contemporaries and younger lot of actresses and was waiting for that one elusive hit. Emraan on the other hand is having a dream run at the box office and Raaz 3 might just be another feather in his cap.

Problem lies in the music. It’s not just happening. Problem also lies in the way the film is marketed. On one hand, Vikram and also Esha are proclaiming that Raaz 3 isn’t a sex story. On the other hand, the marketing team is doling out ‘uncensored promos’ of the film which shows Emraan making love to Bipasha and Esha and also coming up with stories in papers about how Emraan and Esha had a ’20 minute kissing session’! 2 weeks back, there was a lovely write-up in Bombay Times on Emraan Hashmi by Mahesh Bhatt but the pictures were of Emraan kissing Bipasha and Esha! In doing so, the audiences might have a wrong impression of the film and might feel cheated. Also, the promos seem interesting but will the film be as good? If yes, then nothing like it and film can grow significantly.

NO ENTRY REMADE IN MARATHI!

One of the finest comedies from Bollywood, No Entry, has been remade in Marathi. Titled No Entry-Pudhe Dhoka Aahey, the film is all set to release tomorrow on a huge scale across Maharashtra. Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam and Anu Malik have sung for the flick. The film is directed by Ankush Chaudhary who’s also acting in the film. Bipasha Basu’s role in the film is portrayed by Saie Tamahankar in the Marathi version. Her bikini scene has caught eyeballs as this is probably the first time in Marathi cinema that somebody has donned a swimsuit.

Ankush’s previous film Zhakaas was a laugh-a-minute-riot and huge commercial success. The film too had flashes of No Entry but was much more complex though. The trailers of No Entry-Pudhe Dhoka Aahey indicate that nothing much has been changed in the film and it’s a scene-to-scene adaptation of No Entry. And No Entry had arrived only in 2005 and is still fresh in everyone’s minds. Yet, film has chances because of Zhakaas and also it features biggest names of Marathi cinema.
