Its like a dream come true for Nokia Fan boys - A Nokia device with an Android OS, at least a stripped down version. But this might be bad news for Windows phone fans, because Nokia has been fighting a lone battle for a long time.

A Change in strategy was expected after Stephen Elop was elevated to the position of Microsoft's CEO, but such a step was unprecedented. If reports are to be believed, Nokia's first Android Phone - the'Normandy' might be in the works. The phone is expected to be launched in the first half of 2014.

The Normandy will be a budget phone with a custom version of Android just like one in Amazon's Kindle Fire Tablets. There has not been a confirmation from Nokia yet, though insiders claim that the production is going in full steam.

Yesterday, evleaks released a photo of this rumored device on twitter saying "A real Asha Or Lumia? The Nokia Normandy."

It would be interesting to find such a device on my table.

-Specifications of the Rumored Device-

The alleged specs for the device are a 4" WVGA screen, dual-core 1.2GHz processor with 512MB RAM, 5MP camera, 4GB of expandable storage and optional dual-SIM. It's essentially an Android rendition of the Lumia 520.
