"Blessed are they who have the gift of making friends, for it is one of God's best gifts. It involves many things, but above all, the power of going out of one's self, and appreciating whatever is noble and loving in another.

To have a good friend is one of the highest delights of life.

Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult

to leave, and impossible to forget.

No distance of place or lapse of time can lessen the friendship of those

who are throughout persuaded of each other's worth.

The supreme happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved for ourselves.

There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship

The greatest sweetener of human life is Friendship. To raise

this to the highest pitch of enjoyment, is a secret which but few discover.

The best things in life are never rationed. Friendship, loyalty,

love, do not require coupons.

we would build on a sure foundation in friendship, we must

love our friends for their sakes rather than for our own.

Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art. like love It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival.

Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.

Your friends are very precious things;

Their love is like the rarest gem.

But friends are hard to find and keep

Unless you are a friend to them.

Friendship is to be purchased only by friendship. A man may have authority over others, but he can never have their hearts but by giving his own.

One of the surest evidences of friendship that one individual can display to another is telling him gently of a fault. If any other can excel it, it is listening to such a disclosure with gratitude, and amending the error.

In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.

Friendship is love with understanding.

"I shot an arrow into the air,

It fell to earth, I knew not where;

For so swiftly it flew, the sight

Could not follow it in its flight.

I breathed a song into the air,

It fell to earth, I knew not where;

For, who has sight so keen and strong

That it can follow the flight of song?

Long, long afterward, in an oak

I found the arrow, still unbroken;

And the song, from beginning to end,

I found again in the heart of a friend.

"We cannot tell the precise moment when friendship is formed. As in filling a vessel drop by drop, there is at last a drop which makes it run over; so in a series of kindnesses there is at last one which makes the heart run over.

"However rare true love may be, it is less so than true friendship."

We do not so much need the help of our friends as the confidence of their help in need.

friend may well be reckoned as the masterpiece of nature.

The rain may be falling hard outside,

But your smile makes it all alright.

I'm so glad that you're my friend.

I know our friendship will never end.

"There is nothing worth the wear of winning, but laughter and the love of friends."

A good friend is someone we can count on, as well as being so much more.

A friend is someone with whom we can relax and just hang out, have fun and

share our innermost thoughts--deep dark secrets, lofty and noble goals, or

our hopes, joys, and fears. A good friend allows you a safe space to share

your deepest thoughts and needs--without worry of being judged, criticized

or made to feel silly for feeling the way you do. Friends cheer each other on,

laugh and cry together, and just plain commiserate and listen to each other.

That's why friends are friends.....

I keep my friends as misers do their treasure, because, of all the things granted us by wisdom, none is greater or better than friendship.

The best way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend.

"To me, fair friend, you never can be old

For as you were when first your eye I eyed,

Such seems your beauty still."

We must not only give what we have; we must also give what we are.

What you keep to yourself you lose, what you give away, you keep forever.

We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we find in our travels is an honest friend.
