What is a'good' parent!? its a cliched statement.

with respect to what,whom,which situation!

I am a mother of a to-be 4 year old boy. Parenting to me is the most complicated subject. The most subjective and intuitive and sometimes confusing too.

One thing is for sure, one should not take any tips from anyone who is parenting a child,it will differ most of the time as every child and every situation is different.

I guess for my generation its very over hyped and constantly scrutinized by mothers of all generations and also given judgements in a fraction of moment.

The most important is enjoying the process of parenting and letting the child bloom like a flower and fly like a bird.

Letting him/her be himself and communicating, talking and most important let the child have his or her own thoughts hear him/her out.

I know most people would feel this is a very hypothetical thing to let the child do what he wants.

Most of the time, parents want their children to do things they(parents) like and force them to be that way. For instance if a child doesn't like much of reading, do not force them coz u as a parent feel reading is a good habit.

Talk to them constantly, bond with them . Children should feel safe and free to talk their hearts out to you at any age and about anything.

My son is not very talkative, he keeps things to himself and is shy. However since some months I have taken extra effort to enter his circle and slowly have started becoming his buddy.

U need to treat them with respect and give them some space and slowly they open up.

He never use to tell what happened in school, name of friends, any random stuff. But now I know most of his stuff.

I am very happy, as slowly my way of parenting is helping us in a positive way to build our relation and make him a communicative person.

Hence I can call myself a to be'Good' parent I guess!?
