Are the Google search results always relevant? No, I was searching for debit cards on internet and I found some good offers from some companies. I started digging deep to know more about the companies. I did it for a few companies and the results were satisfactory. But when I searched for a debit card company called NEXCEL to know more about it, there were mixed results. The results were for NEXCEL, N-Excel some sentence with word ending in “N” somewhere between the sentence and then Excel in it. So the results for nexcel keyword are totally irrelevant.

My question is –

Google always talks about relevancy in results, where has the relevancy gone?

N Excel and other similar words have nothing to do with nexcel. NEXCEL is something which is related to finance industry. There are other companies also which have nexcel in their name, so exactly nexcel is OK to appear. But why even the broken words are appearing (which constitute same word). N Excel is a term which is related to Microsoft Office Spreadsheets. It’s some kind of functionality in Excel.

Can’t Google algorithm check their relevancy? Is it the magic of words only?

If this is true, it’s easy to manipulate search results.
This are some questions which pop up in my mind when I was doing my search. If you have the answer to this, please reply back.
