“One of my long-lasting national level trekking trip ever.. felt thrilled, chilled, terrified, tuff, more drama, more fun, lots of new friends, lots and lots to say.. climbed 13800 feet all the way to see and feel himalayan regions... now I deem it as an lifelong enduring experience..

we were 5 of us up the hills.. we came across splashy sunlight, rainfall, snowfall, heavy wind, walked on snow for 6 hrs atleast continous, on wet muds, dry soils, been on the nature's shoulder for a while to adore it on whole….”

More to write like these… but first to put a gist abt the expedition on my diary’s first page, im writing how I gave it a start…

The most memorable moments in ‘me’ since I cud hardly recall anything in my life is when I felt Himalayan. I want it to be on my memory for ever, so wat if I get short term memory loss sooner or later..lol!! so decided to scribble my sweet Himalayan trekking expedition memories on my MS diary. Despite E63, Pulsar, Inspiron 1525, S3IS, Swatch, Fasttrack coolers, onida black & etc., I ve nothin else new to review abt for now, though im much fond of reviewing. Moreover the best reviews for these are already been best written by many mouth shutters here ;). So I go on scribbling myself. Sarpass is a Himalayan region 13800 feet high above sea level. when I first told the height im gonna climb to my mom she asked wats the flying time, airfare & wud she also be accompanied??!! Then I said it’s a trekking trip. She couldn believe! Even after trek she didn’t, thanks to my S3IS which spoke abt it to not only my mom but to everyone. Its still speaks. “Guys Its recession time, management is getting in to conservation mode. No appraisals for anyone. Hope u can understand the situation….” These r the lines I still remember which made many of us fretted. To overcome the stress level, we thought of touring somewhere far far away. My colleague Babu is a trekker & a member of YHAI. We both sat together to find a place to trip, found this National Himalayan expedition trek organized by YHAI. Collecting snaps, going thru Wikipedia, calling YHAI, reading blogs is wat did in the evening. Then came my second colleague Khan to join the trek. We hardly had ideas about national level trekking. I had couple of trekking experiences, one to Mukhurthi peak near Ooty & to Kaadambarai, its again a hill station. But these r nothing compared to surpass trek!! Khan being a body builder n the most sportive guy I had never met in life, we were all set to take the trip. Then came an important prospect in the discussion of taking approval for 11 days of leave from my manager! I knew this is gonna be breakdown dhamaka in the team, so gotta plan in very best way. I downloaded around 60 snaps of Sarpass region, sorted out, finalized with 9 best outta lots & sent it across to my manager along with the mail for approval. Next day morning I had high voltage run through seeing his reply. Guess wat, he replied with all the details including reg form required for the trek & he wanted to join us for Sarpass!! Soon after the news spread across the team, 2 more added to the list. Fun starts… Chennai-Delhi by air, Delhi-Bhunter by Road (15 hrs), Bhunter-Kasol (base camp) on a wonderful typical HP Local bus. Kasol is approx 6500 feet above sea level, from there we trek all the way to Sarpass covering various hill regions in 5 days. prior to this we had 2 days of acclimatization & orientation sessions. our batch had 51 members in total. We were all a happy family for those entire trek ;) we had guys falling in from various parts of the country - Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, etc.,

After lots & lots of dramas ( I need to write a new page for drams held at kasol!!all of those being part of fun & emotions ;) ) tasks were accomplished ;

Day 1 : trek to Guna Paani thru Shila village – 5kms,8000 feet.

Day 2 : trek to Fual Paani – 5kms,9500 feet.

Day 3 : trek to Zirmi – 6kms,11500 feet.

Day 4 : trek to Tila Lotni – 6kms,12500 feet.

Day 5 : trek to Bishkari Thatch – 9kms thru Sarpass 13800 feet to 11000 feet.

Day 6 : trek to Bhandak Thatch – 6kms, 8000 feet

Day 7 : down to Kasol all the way…

I need to put in more & more exiting stuffs abt each day of the trek on to my MS diary, so then I will wait for my RAM to flush out again….!!
