Electric toothbrushes, cordless shavers, cordless drills, cellular and transportable phones, and a whole mess of kitchen appliances rely on rechargeable batteries to help keep them running. What do you do if they will not charge? Does this Spark an concept?

1. Ensure that the charger cord is plugged in along with the outlet is getting electrical power.

   
   




2. Seem closely in the battery pack. Is there corrosion or leakage? In that case, substitute the right away.

   
   




3. Check the charger. For DC chargers, set a voltmeter to 25 VDC and touch the contacts using the probes. The meter must examine about one V in excess of the charger's rating. In the event the reading is zero, switch the probes.
