I happen to be a Computer Engineer who supplies Computers.

I had bought a Intel Motherboard (Mainboard) for one PC. It developed problems in the first year. I checked the board and found it had no power. I contacted Intel, they asked me to call Bangalore (STD charges applied) , waste my time for 40 - 50 mins. They want you to solve the problem unlike other manufacturers who check themselves.

Later when the problem did not get solved, they asked me to courier the board to Chennai. When I sent the Mainboard, in was in Intact condition. No physical damage whatsoever.

I got the board back after a fortnight only to find out that it had a label mentioning the board has physical damages. The CPU socket pins had been damaged (on purpose) to void the warranty.

This has happened with 4 of my customers and other Engineer friends as well.

Dont go for Intel Motherboards, NEVER. There are many better brands, with promt warranty service.

I complained with Intel about this, but they are hell bent that you dont know how to handle the boards. I complained about the warranty centre which is in Chennai (cause maybe Mumbai is a very small city). they claimed they have one in Mumbai as well.

I tried to find out and found One Redington Service (for intel and others) in Dadar. But it turned out to be only a transit point for their products to save on courier charges. The product anyway travels to chennai to be repaired.

Worst SERVICE ever. PLUS Cheats.
