Janapav Hill, is one of the Most Panoramic Attractions of Mhow, it is at the Height of 880 Meter and Sited near Mumbai-Indore Highway and in the Mhow Tehsil of Indore District. It is the Perfect Weekend Getaway from Indore at a distance of 51 Km, for Nature Lovers and Trekkers. Temple of Lord Parshuram and Ashram is sited on Hilltop. According to Hindu Mythology, this Place is Believed as a Birthplace of Lord Parshuram Ji(an Avatar of Lord VishnuJi) and the Ashram belonged to Jamadagni(Father of Lord Parshuram Ji). On the Festival of Kartik Purnima, A Mela(Fair) is conducted annually, where Thousands of People climb the Hill to Pray and get Blessings.


This Mountain is believed to be the 2nd Highest Peak of the Malwa Region. During the Monsoon Season, Janapav gets a lot of Visitors to witness its Amazing Picturesque and Forest Trekking. It gets encircled by Dense Forests and provides an Awesome View all around.

At the Hilltop, there is sited an Primeval Jamadagni Ashram. As per the Hindu Mythology and Holy Books, this Place was explored by the Father of the Hindu God, Lord Parshuram Ji. Moreover, Lord Parshuram’s Mother cultivated those Medicinal Plants and Herbs, across the area. By Visiting this Place, One can feel the Peaceful Vibes of Spiritualism besides Trekking or Travel.

Via Air: The Nearest Airport is Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Upon getting in Indore Airport, the Most Suitable Option for Reaching Janapav is by hiring a Private vehicle or a Cab.


Via Road: At a distance of 45 km, Janapav is a Long Drive Away from Indore. There are two ways to reach Janapav are through:


Manpur Road or Yashwant Nagar Road.
