There's a lingering hole in my heart

And I've born the weight, for my part

Why doesn't it ever go away

Oh! Whatever I wish and however I pray

It gnaws at my insides

This pain reaches far and wide

A mere glimpse, a mere thought

The full-moon walks, in silver wrought

Behold the stray cloud in the skies

A truth surrounded by lies

Lonely walks the moon in her light

Ever so glorious, in my sight

My heart forever yearns for thee

Though it be the end of me

In a place beyond space and time

Where I thought to make you mine
