This is the note given to me from Dr Daisy Sha at Mulund about lenovo ideapad A10 purchased from snapdeal.com:

I purchased Lenovo Ideapad A10 from Snapdeal.com on 18th Sept, 2014(SERIAL NO UB02251066), and it was not getting powered on. I called Lenovo helpline number and registered a complaint. After few emails, my warranty was'updated'(whatever that might mean) in accordance with my purchase date. I was visited by an engineer from their service centre "Sysnet" located at Vidhya Vihar, Mumbai, who brought a new monitor with him to replace. After few minutes of juggling with the ideapad, he confessed that he didn't know much about this model, but informed that if I press the power button for longer time(more than 15 secs), it will switch on. And it was so. He requested me to fill the feedback form, which I filled with all happy notions as my problem was apparently solved. After couple of days, even if pressed power button key for 30 secs or even indefinitely, it didn't turn on the button. After a brief holiday, I called the lenono helpline on 3rd Oct to register the complaint again. They sent me another engineer from the same Sysnet firm, on 18TH OCTBER(2 weeks later). This time this engineer brought'motherboard' with him to replace it. After opening the machine, he deduced that power circuit needs to be changed, not the whole'board'. Today is 26th October and I am still waiting for the required part from the engineer despite the complaint being repeatedly registered with lenovo helpline. None of the contact numbers of Sysnet firm are working. The engineer does not pick up his mobile number or when he does, informs that he will call back in half an hour. Needless to say, no call backs from him. I have purchased this ideapad for more than one and half months, and I am still to used it constructively in anyway. How do I use this machine for important tasks in future, if the services by Lenovo is this sloppy? I think they want to ignore my problem, and hope no repurcussions will occur, and I am afraid they might be right. In fact, on later followups on lenovo helpline, I found that Sysnet has declared that they have replaced monitor on my model successfully. This is not true at all. No repairing has been done to it at all.

I saw this ideapad with Daisy when I visited her today, and asked her to copy this data to my thumbdrive for mouthshut.com. I have edited this note only to put in serial number and spellcheck.
