Just got my hands on a book titled “the Adventurer’s Handbook by Mick Conefrey.What I loved in this whole extract was that the most important information is in the last two points:D And loved point 5 …what a simple instruction to follow:DThe below data is a legendary extract from a U.S. Peace Corps manual 1) If you are attacked by an Anaconda do not run.The snake is faster than you are. 2) Lie flat on the ground. Put your arms tight against your sides, your legs tight against one another (waiting like a good Samaritan to be swallowed :P) 3) Tuck your chin in( Most important point) 4) The snake will come and begin to nudge and climb over your body ( what if I feel ticklish or die of the weight, that is if I am not dead already of a heart attack :D) 5) DO NOT PANIC(Why should I panic..it is just an ANACONDA :P…lying on top of me ). 6) After the snake has examined you, it will begin to swallow you from the feet. Permit the snake to swallow your feet and ankles. Do not panic.(Sounding like a broken record..obviously I am not panicking..am just being devoured alive..happens all the time..as for "permitting" the snake to swallow my feet..like I have a choice..nice time to crack a joke.... ) 7) The snake will now begin to suck your legs into its body. You must lie perfectly still. This will take a long time( slow death is the “in” thing now days) 8) When the snake has reached your knees, slowly, and with as little movement as possible, reach down, take your knife, and very gently slide it into the snake’s mouth between the edge of its mouth and your legs. Then suddenly rip upwards, severing the snake’s head( hey nice tactic….and the snake will obviously be at standstill, curiously watching me sever its head…LOL) 9) Be sure you have your knife ( thank god whoever penned these rules remembered to remind me of the knife..i am just up to my knees in the Anaconda’s mouth :P ) 10) Be sure your knife is sharp.( hmmmmmmm……)Contrary to this, anaconda’s usually swallow the victim’s head first so that the legs don’t get stuck on the way down. (Now what should be done in this case…..rip the snake from inside;) )
