Just going back to my school days , I remembered the great Mother Teresa born on August 26 .In Pune we had a chance to meet mother .I m very greatful to god for being part of such awonderful mother that occassion & we r all blessed & hope mother service to poor & needy will always continue .
Mother was internationally famed as a humanitarian & advocate for the poor and helpless, Mother won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 and India's highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna in 1980 . Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity continued to expand, and at the time of her death it was operating 610 missions in 123 countries, including hospices & homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis, soup kitchens, children's & family counselling programs, orphanages, & schools.
Following death mother was beatified by Pope John Paul II & given the title Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.
