Mazhar is always coming up with innovative ideas day in day out, Sridhar keeps us busy with his poems, Azam with his dare devil acts and photo shoots. If we have to harness our energies in the right way and channelise our thoughts into actions there are many avenues for Msians in their respective cities. This will definitely transform the meetings into an innovative realty platform to express their opinion, devise action plan against injustice and galvanize members into social contribution.

The basic idea behind the meets should focus on benefits to the society in general :

Campaign against bad products and services : Day in day out we come across innumerable examples of consumers taken for a ride with bad internet connectivity, digusting cell networks, black outs of paid channel, defective camera, bad after sales car service, improper medical diagonsis, delayed possession of flats booked etc.

Social Campaigns : Blood donation campaign, Dont Drink and Drive, Avoid Smoking in Public, Vote for good candidates in Election, Donate for Flood victims, Saving ecology etc.

All MS campaigns should be directed at good causes not publicity campaigns unlike some NGO's who want to be in the news. Our main motto should be to undertake ethical campaign creating awareness among corporates, not to exploit the muscle power of media or gain undue publicity.

Chennai is the Centre of Consumer Activism : One of the biggest and successful campaigns in India is certainly evolved from Chennai, who fought tooth and nail against DLF for not honouring the promises in their project. This proves the fact even the biggest and mighty corporates can be bought to books to honour their own promises. They cannot take consumers for a ride. I am sure the meet in Chennai will throw more light on such real issues which handicaps us.

Let MSIANS shine in their armour when it comes to consumer activism. Should we take shoddy product and service lying down as our fate, have we not paid full value of the product. Do we sit quiet in cosy homes when millions are drowning in floods without food and clothing. Are we so insensitive to our own brothers ?

Do we care for accident vicitms on the road, should we allow him or her to die for want of medical aid or blood ? What if one's own close one dies without care due to lack of humanity ? Are we afraid of cops troubling us after we have rendered help to an accident victim. No way......? I would be ashamed to run away and would not be worthy of being called an MSIAN ? Of course I have support of my fellow Msians in Blore. They are the people who inspired me to write this DP. What is your take my dear friends ?
