MY EXPERIENCE IN VERBATTLE

BATTLE OF WORDS...........

It was on 18th August 2008 Me and My friend Divya realised WHAT WE WERE on To. VREBATTLE the STATE LEVEL DEBATE COMPETATION held at JPnagar gave the platform to exhibit our talent.

We reached there by 8 in the morning .First we got our name registered in the counter.Then DEEPAK THIMAYYA the man behind the VERBATTLE gave intructions and told us about rules and regulations .He said that the time limit was 3 minutes for both the representatives of the respective schools which shocked us we had prepared 3 minutes for each......ha we cut the points here and there and were finally prepared which relaxed us.But soon seeing the participants on the stage our nervouness increased.We were wating for our call number 30 to be called.Finally they called out our call number at 3 in the afternoon .........We got on to the stage with all hopes and performed well..We spoke for and against for the topic ONE MAKES ONES OWN DESTINY..........AND...We had to leave the place.The results were announced in the evening.The lines were busy we were enthu.............My friend finally got the line she asked whether we were qaulified it said YES we were qualified in the BANGALORE ZONALS.That put us high we were jumping out of joy words cant explain the joy ......................

On the next we had STATE PRELIMS which was much challenging.Everything depends on our luck we had 15 topics with us we had to be ready with all any one of the topic would be given to us.we were ready for the worse.Just like the previous day we waited for our call number 18 to be called .Finally they called our call number by 3:30 in the afternoon.I dont know whether it was our GOOD luck or BAD luck we got the topic SHOULD MATHEMATICS BE THOUGHT AS A SUBJECT AT SCHOOL LEVEL we had only 10 minutes to prepare.We were soon on stage it was quite difficult as the other two were for and we were only against the were pelting us with words.IT Was A WAR.............Who was the winner??????????IT was only announced in the evevning .............This time it was not on our side.........tears ran out of our eyes.we felt we really lost something,it was hurting..................We were ok after some time.We carried on our jouney............
