I am planed a 3 Day - 2 Night Trip to Mysore, Mudumalai and Ooty from Chennai .

With my wife and two kids

I took the Sadabathi express from Chennai and reached Mysore at 8 Am in the morning .

We did not halt in Mysore instead just got refreshed at Mysore Kamat hotel and visited the Zoo , Palace and Chamundi temple .Children wear exited to see the tall majestic giraffe at the zoo.right next to the zoo is the mysore silk sari show room run my the karnataka government .We had our lunch at RRR Andra style restaurant . The food war real good but not recommended for vegetarians After evening tea we left to Mudumalai by taxi.

We reached mudumalai by 9.PM . after passing through the Bandipur forest . as soon as we entered the forest check post the spotted deer provided a warm welcome .we had booked the swiss cottage tent at a resort called Deep jungle home .

Deep Jungle home is a beautiful campus surrounded by evergreen forest reserve with plenty of birds and wildlife around. We were exited to see the famous Mudumalai elephants Just about 50 meters from the campus. Sundaram was an excellent guide who knows the reserve like the back of his hand we went trekking with him in the morning and saw some Deer and Leopard pug marks . The camp site is attractive and in pretty good condition, considering the rate at which they offer accommodation in the ever green forest . Tents are non air conditioned but we didn't need it as the forest and over looking a stream and the rain kept things cool; mosquito nets in the tents were very effective. Food was remarkably good and varied compared with other similar places we have stayed. Staff seemed particularly friendly and helpful.

The booking procedure is also simple . Just visit https://www.junglehome.in .

By after noon 12 Pm we left to Ooty . on the way we visited Pykara Lake and falls .

At ooty we stayed at a hotel called Lake view. The hotel offers rooms with very good view of the lake. Ooty was too cold than expected . We had our Dinner at a restaurant called Thandoor. They offered good thandoori chicken with mint chutney .

We did not visit many places in Ooty because it was too crowded and we were tired .

Next day in the morning we left back to Mysore and boarded the train and reached back Chennai .
