After launching the re-iterated Nokia 3310 last month, HMD Global as promised earlier is all set to pave an entry to Nokia-branded phones in the Indian Smartphone market by means of Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and the highly anticipated Nokia 6!
Ever since their global announcement at MWC 2017 in Barcelona earlier this year, it had created a sense of curiosity among the Indian users about its availability on the Indian shelves. In that context, HMD Global, the custodian of the Nokia brand, have stayed to their word of bringing these Nokia Android Smartphones to India by hosting an event in New Delhi today in the afternoon where it is expected to launch these smartphones and also finally put up a date of their availability for purchase.
These are the first Nokia smartphones to hit the Indian market since the Lumia series shut down and these being stock-Android, here's everything you need to know about these mobile phones:
Nokia 6: Price, Specs, Features:
After its humongous success in the global market especially China where it went out of stock in a minute's flash sale, the Nokia 6 is much expected to leave its mark on the Indian market too!
Due to its charismatic look and feel, Nokia 6 is expensive of the lot and is rumoured to be priced around 15,000 - 16,000 INR. Coming to the specs part, Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch full-HD 2.5D screen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and a Fingerprint sensor below the display. Nokia 6 is powered by Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage which can be extended up to 128GB by means of microSD card. Nokia 6 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and comes with 3000 mAh battery which is claimed to last a day on a single charge. Nokia 6 sports a 16 MP rear sensor and 8 MP front shooter. Other features of Nokia 6 include USB OTG-support, 4G LTE support, Micro-USB 2.0, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC.
Nokia 5: Price, Specs, Features:
Nokia 5 has been designed for the users opting for a more compact smartphone that would fit in their pocket perfectly well. Hence, it sports a 5-inch HD display, unlike the 5.5-inch on Nokia 6. Some of the specs are common between the two with Nokia 5 being powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box similar to its elder sibling. However, the memory module has been downgraded to 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 128GB. Nokia 5 sports a 13MP sensor on the back and an 8MP sensor at the front. Nokia 5 houses a 3000 mAh battery and is likely to be priced at 12,000 INR. Nokia 5 also sports a Fingerprint sensor on the front panel beneath the display and extends support to USB OTG, 4G LTE, Micro-USB 2.0, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC.
Nokia 3: Price, Specs, Features:
Nokia 3 is a budget-friendly smartphone and is centered at the users who don't wish to spend much for a new mobile phone yet want to have a premium-looking smartphone in their hands. It comes with a polycarbonate body and metallic frame on the sides. On the specs front, the Nokia 3 features a 5-inch HD display, Android 7.0 Nougat, Quad-core 1.3 GHz MediaTek 6737 SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB on-board storage, up to 128GB microSD card support, 8MP front and back shooter and battery capacity being downgraded to 2630 mAh. Nokia 3 also offers USB OTG-support, 4G LTE support, Micro-USB 2.0, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC. Since, Nokia 3 being a cost-effective smartphone, it is the most cheapest among the three siblings and one can expect it to be priced at around 9,000 INR.
