"Mile Sur" released in 1988 was a vivacious music showing all the colors and cultures of India. The same has been tried out this year with release of "Phir Mile Sur" with the same theme of "Unity among Diversity".

But there has been so many week points to be criticised. I felt that it is more a movie then a message and glorification of India. The song video has lots and lots of actors ; Khans, Bachchans, Priyanka, Deepika, Mahesh Babu, Prosenjit, Rituporna, etc. But where are Scientists: Kalam, Mylswamy Annadhuri ; Athletes: Kapil, Sachin, Sania, Paes, Anand; Business Tycoons: Ratan Tata, Ambani brothers; Singers: Lata, Asha; and many more endless fields that has been missed. Also why all the regions have been represented by the actors of that region. Also each athletes in the songs has been shown just for few seconds (not more than 5 sec.). And Hollywood actors shown as if it is a movie; streching their arms, showing legs, all non-sense stuffs. Is India all about films....? Is the video made with a commercial purpose or a message? Many such big questions...

The concepts at few places in the video are good: women empowerment, literacy. Good choice of locations. But all these are useless if the picturization and the motto is foggy.

Overall "Phir Mile Sur" is a super-duper flop.
