Now that the IPL scam is out in the open domain lot of speculations are being dished out with Media getting deeper and deeper into investigative process. I am surprised that there is a demand for JPC probe which would obviously scuttle and muzzle all investigation process. Kudos to PM & FM for initiating Tax raids, but it should be followed by CBI probe according to my opinion.
The logic for CBI probe emanates, primarly because of a huge payout of 450 crores by Sony TV to obtain the right from WSG. If one uses the common sense approach there has been division of this commission into 9 portions. The two receipents of commission is obvious to everybody. The IPL commissioner has inked the deal and his designation, says it all which will be proved by IT dept raids and probe. Next is the WSG who require a fee for their role. Now the moot question is who are the other 7 receipents of the facilitation fees paid. This will be a big challenge to the IT dept and CBI to trace. Unless warrants and arrests are carried out the truth will never be revealed. What do you all feel guys.
Developments in AGM or meetings is quickly to scuttle the probe and attempt damage control exercise. This is where a watch dog from the PM or FM should be deployed for observing the entire proceedings of the meeting and decision making. Any resolution can be passed to muzzle the committee members from making the media statement. This gag order is not healthy for the probe
.Next the larger issue of bringing in transperancy and regulation should be attempted. An automous body consisting of Eminent banker, NGO, and personalities should be involved in regulation of BCCI. I would prefer a person like T N Sheshan, Dr Kurien, Deepak Pareikh, Naryan Moorthy, apart from cricketers like G R Vishwanath, Arun Roy, Kirmani, to be involved in regulation.Let us use this opportunity to clean up the mess once for all and create a robust and transperant model for BCCI administation.
What do you feel guys
