I been buying electronic products from different retailors across India, but have never facedsuch a embraricing and helpless situation like today.
I had bought Blackberry Bold 9900 from Reliance Digital @ Inorbit mall, hyderabad Store where Mr. Kuldeep Tiwari ( Department Manager) assisted me in chossing the handset. Demo was a quick one so not much of a handset was discovered by me. By Same day evening phone started giving snags and the scroll would hang or voice would hang upon connecting. I had to go out of station so couldn't take it back.
Upon my return I visited the same store on thursday just 4 day after the purchase and went to their customer service department, I really felt so helpless as every person I met bluntly said take it to service center we don't carry any responsibility . Lastly I met Mr. Srinath Reddy - CRM Who had a same reply and even went ahead and said once sold it the manufacturer as its not there product. I was like why .... Did I make mistake purchasing a handset?
I happen to visit The mobile store next to Reliance store in inorbit, and asked executive if he can check wht the problem is, the executive was so help full even if I had not purchased it from them.
Reliance should teach their staff customer service if you they survive in this business.... may be make them work with Croma or such brands for month or so ..... May be that could help.
Best part was even on righting to the feedback address no reply was their only I got auto-generated mail saying we will get back to you ( which never happened)
