I purchased a Sony XperiaZ in Dubai in April 2013 for my son. The phone was OK for 3 months. Then 3 days back the Charging port socket got damaged and I am unable to insert the charger. I took the phone to a Sony authorized workshop. They refused to touch it saying they can repair only phones made in India. Even against payment of charges they say they cannot even touch the phone. This problem with the charging socket I am told is not uncommon. The policy however is downright ridiculous. I for one will never buy a Sony Mobile again.
