In a recent survey conducted by YouGov, Bill Gates - the Microsoft founder and philanthropist, is the most admired person in the world. US President Barrack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin followed suit. Queen Elizabeth, the 17th most admired person, is the most admired woman in the world.

Times London conducted this poll across 13 countries with fourteen thousand participants including India, US, Great Britain, France, Russia, China, Germany, Australia, Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Brazil and Nigeria.

In this list of 30 most admired personalities, there were 7 Indians – four in the top ten. The God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, made it to the fifth position in the list while BJP's frontrunner for PM Narendra Modi and Bollywood Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan came seventh and ninth. The missile man of India, former President APJ Abdul Kalam rounded off the top ten as tenth most admired person in the world. On the fourteenth spot is the incorruptible Anna Hazare and his former protege, AAP President and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held the eighteenth spot. The Business magnate Ratan Tata finished the list at 30th position.
