hello all!!greetings!!

I'm writing this simply because I miss an old grandpa, who kept buzzing-whamming around me in my memories..that too, in a full rigid, bus schedule, when I had to submit my assignment. I met this gentleman when I was in 8th std. I come from a convent, wherein sisters (nuns) spoke softly, yet carried a big stick. Somehow, being a child I was pretty close to my grandpa, and he used to live with my uncle though, I missed him a lot. and probably this was the reason, why I loved grandpas...so, one morning as our auto waited for a student I fortunately happen to see this grandpa while he strode across the lane. he was wearing a monkey cap, like my grandpa.I kept looking at him till he was out of my vicinity. I kept waiting for him everyday, one day he noticed me, and smiled at me. I smiled and even enthused by his smile waved him back. I used to wait for him daily, I used to curse the boy for coming on time since I never got a chance to talk the grandpa.

after a week probably the awaited opportunity kncked. he sat on a sidebench, and this boy was bit late (may god bless him!!for being late!!) I hopped out of my auto and walked straight towards making friends with him.he gave me a broad smile, which I responded with a ear to ear one.. he llived nearby somewhere. Then we chatted being a child I loved haathi-chiti jokes I used to narrate them and all my previous day experience to him.I was glad and so was he. He had grandchildren of his own too.

HE gave me chocolates which I never ate, while am a chocoholic by nature, birth whatever you may call it. Not understanding much yet, I never felt like eating them because they reminded me of new grandpa, whom I lovingly christened as GP. One fine day, he didn't come, I kept looking from the vent that Indore autos usually have.he was nowhere to be seen. Same thing happened for a week thereafter. I got worried, then finally he came the day I had promised to look out for him somehow, somewhere. At least I remembered the colony .

To tell you the truth till date I don't know his name, surname, address nothing. But then, he stopped visiting the side-bench where he used to relax for a while, after he had completed a good distance a walk.

Now, as a couple of months later as I'm going to enter a new phase (wedding bells!) I wish to see him, just once. I want to see the same monkey-capped GP with 5chocolates(melody). Well, the chocolates got perished, ants..huh!! yet the memories do visit me at times.

I miss you so much, GP. During my graduation days my bus used to drive past the same side-bench. And me even in 20s used to peep out the same way I used to from my auto. Now, in case I cross the same lane, I imagine him sitting and waving.

Don't know where he is now, but I keep my heart and mind away from the universal idea that probably he's no ..more...

Please, earnest, a solemn request to the almighty if he could bless me with GP's 1 look. just one.and only once.

bye.
