The day broke today, and to my utter surprise I woke up at 5.15AM. The Air cooler's position should be below my feet, it was towards the left. The night light that glows was not there. On the top of my head was a computer. I woke up confused!? I didnt know the time then, as it was dark to see the watch. Then I put my hands on my pocket and realised my cell being there. As I removed the cell to switch on flash ligt to check the time, I remembered that time is displayed on Cell too and I need not have to open the cover to see the time!

I saw the time and realised I had slept at my hostel room! I was in hostel to browse the net, and someone got a DVD of a movie. We decided to see. The other boys saw it, I slept! And as is the habit of my ex-roommate he did not wake me up and allowed me to sleep.

I walked my way to home, and did not disturb my roommate (Although he is ex-roommate now that I have moved away to individual quarters - he will always remain my roommate!- wont he). It was still dark and so, I watered the plants, as I wasn't feeling sleepy.

Why am I explaining all this and put on the title as Great world of ants?

welll I missed observing the  my dear ants today due to darkness!!!

ha ha!

So I will just put some other things about ants. Most of us know about it but ....

From my childhood I see four different kinds of ants and got bitten by them as well!

The first category, the one as I know as Ant (mungi in Marathi). I got introduced to them when my sister told don't touch them they will bite. They are red in color and small. I never took the interest to measure them, but they would be atleast 4mm long! These ants are red in color and they bite! "Laal Mungi" as we call them. We called them Rakshas Mungi because they bite!

The other mungi was the deva mungi or the  kaali mungi. These dev mungi was called so because they only tickle and not bite! The size is more or less the same as the lal mungi. The way the kaali mungi moves is very typical. They move at a random pace. Move at a time stop for a fraction of a second, move again. What they do I dont know. But there movement is faster and hence I think is called "Dhaavre" (dhaav -run) runner ants! As my life progressed I have started to dislike these ants. The reason being that when these ants move on body there is a tickling kind of feeling. These ants generally are more vegeterian  compared to the red ants!

There are then ants called Mungla in Marathi, but that we can continue later!
