Pune is an ecstatic city filled with lively streets, vivacious colorful places, energetic crowd and buzzing roads. Pune is an upcoming metro of India with hi-tech IT areas developing, modern and stylish architectural malls, restaurants, multiplexes and so many more leisure places to look out for. Pune is growing magnanimously in the true sense.

This ever growing city has few places which are still loved, visited and crowded by the city dwellers since decades. The popularity of these places has grown even more gradually. On such place is the Fergusson College road. Located in the heart of the city, this area is the hot favorite of every youngster in the city. Fergusson College road more famous as FC road is named after the very famous and age old Fergusson College – one of the most reputed and prestigious educational institutes in the city.

The first glimpse of FC road that comes to my mind is a very vivid scene of innumerous shops selling shoes, chappals, accessories, clothing and the large number of youngsters flocking in at these places. FC road is the ‘fashion centre’ of Puneites! The colorful and glimmering stalls dotting this street attract all female crowd from every age group I would say! Those smiling faces, lit up eyes are a real delight! You enter one of the stalls and you will feel the excitement in the air! The glittering artifacts in these stalls have all the capability to attract every fashion lover of the city. FC road is the paradise of every shopaholic! With the variety of goodies it offers at really affordable prices, FC road is the happy haven for the people who visit it!

Well, it’s not just the shopping that you need to look out for when you talk about FC road, this area has some of the finest eating joints to enjoy a sumptuous meal. The very famous Vaishali, Roopali, Amrapali are places flooded with people round the clock! No less are Wadeshwar, Peter’ Pan, Sweet Chariot Café, Horn OK Please just to name a few! These places are also liked by one and all! FC road is also hon=me to the ‘Flavours’ stall most famous for its mouth watering chocolate toast. Not to forget, the small thelas and stalls that sell pani puri, dosa, chat, corn… such a delight! Dominoz, Café Coffee Day are the regulars for all people here.

This was my take on this enlivening and extravagant, famous and dearly loved FC road of our very own Pune city. Being on the streets of Pune gives you experiences that will hold a memory in your mind forever. This was one such experience for me!
