Its 2017, technology and development are at its peak, people are busier than ever, more and more open-minded people can be found around.Anything and everything is almost excepted by everyone in order to prove they are so broad minded and cool. Now no one cares about what other think about them. Everyone is just busy with their lives.The cool statements- “my life, my rules”, “who gives a dam about what others think” etc are all over the youth’s mind.

But the question is-”Are they really so open-minded or this is just to show they are open-minded?”. I have met people with all cool attitude criticizing others for what they themselves do everyday. The guys want a girlfriend but they don’t want their sisters to have a boyfriend. They will give lectures about women empowerment, freedom to girls etc but these don’t apply to women in their family. You will find people saying what’s wrong if a lady marries after divorce but only 10% of these will allow their mom to marry again. The society is full of people supporting the rape victims but very few would be ready to marry one.

Not only the guys but the girls too. Girls rarely support each other. Women empowerment is all over the nation but how can it be achieved when the women themselves support each other only in words. A girl in this two faced society would definitely stand for another girls who had a sexual relation which didn’t worked out but no one can stop her in thinking that she is more pure just because she is a virgin. No one can stop a social activist mother of a guy to reject a girl because she was raped before. No one can stop a family to tell her daughter not to share about being molested to other people.

This society seems like liberal than before but actually nothing has changed over the years. Previously people meant what they said and now they say whats trending but they rarely mean it. This needs to be changed. They should understand the real meaning of being broad-minded. It should be in mind and actions, not just in words.
