I am an MBA from a premier b-school, working as a Brand Manager for one of the leading fashion firms in the country.

For a while now, I have been thinking about this idea of starting a not-for-profit venture where- while delivering value to my clients, I could cater to some of the underprivileged sections of the society.

It could have been anything, but partly because of my experience in this (garment) industry and an existing need gap in the branded merchandise space (its highly fragmented and unorganized, and those who are organized are clearly inflexible and expensive) I decided to get into providing branded merchandise (T-shirts with the logo of your company, college, etc) to corporates, colleges, groups of friends or anyone who needs them.

Even if you are not interested in the social aspect of our work, you might like to work with us for three simple reasons. We provide the best quality, at the cheapest rates and our deliveries are the fastest in the business. As far as it is practically possible-we are not stuck on any minimum quantities. Also, as a bonus, we are happy to give you any creative support that you may need to design your favorite tee.

Now about the good part- For every order that we get, profits will straight away be employed to bring smiles on the faces of those who miss it the most.

This can be sponsoring a year’s supply of painting stationery (crayons, water colors, paint brushes, drawing sheets, etc) to the orphan kids or gifting a television to give company to the lonesome residents of an old age home or paying for the education of a needy girl child. We would appreciate if our clients could suggest us some novel ideas to bring more and more smiles.

The time spent with these special people and their smiles would be chronicled and their stories and the pictures would be posted on this blog on a very regular basis. Also, the contact information about the orphanages, old age homes, etc would be available in the post-in case you want to extend your support to them.

Now about the name bit- it is not very rare that elders resort to ‘the ghost’ stories/threats to discipline their kids. We grow up fearing the unknown. But we would like to change that. We would like the kids to believe that after all a ghost can be good too. Almost like an Indian counterpart of a Santa Claus, we would do things in an anonymous manner that would bring smiles to so many faces and pass them as the deeds of ‘The Good Ghost’.
